Baby is 7 months and almost 20 pounds. I use a Thirsties prefold with an insert and cover with eiter a Flip cover or Thirsties cover.

  3. Jen Locke Smith replied:

We use Earth Mom & Baby bumboo (bamboo) diapers with fleece liners & econobum cover for our 14-mo-old, 20 lb son. So far, no leaks!

  5. Jaimie K replied:

My daughter is about 8.5 months and 12ish pounds. My favorite for night is my double stuffed BG 4.0 with snaps. I just use the 2 inserts it came with.

  6. Cara replied:

My 5 month old son weighs 16lbs and wears a Sunbaby stuffed with the microfiber insert and a flour sack towel from Target, an extra microfiber insert, or an old prefold from when my parents had a diaper service for me!

  7. Janelle replied:

My son is 10 months and 20 lbs. He wears Bella Bottoms one size pockets stuffed with a microfiber and a joeybunz premium insert. 🙂

  8. Samantha W replied:

It took us a long time to figure out nighttime diapers without leaks, without bulk, and still keeping them dry.

I have 22 month old twin boys, weighing in at 26 and 23 lbs. We use a Thirsties Hemp Insert Tucked under a microfiber insert, and if it’s not a Flip we put a Cotton Babies Stay dry sock on the outside of the inserts. Then we just use whatever cover is handy- whether it’s a Wonder Wrap, Econobum, Thirsties, etc. Seems to be doing the trick!

  9. Meagan Riehl replied:

Claire is 7 months and ~23lbs. Our fave nighttime combo is sbish fitted (either snapless or OBF) and sbish wool! Can’t beat that combo!

  10. Lauren G. replied:

My baby wears a BG 4.0 stuffed with 2 WAHM hemp inserts. 5 months old, 17 lbs.

  11. Tiffany U replied:

Our nighttime solution for my 26 lb 2 yr old is a Thirsties hemp Prefold or an organic Flip insert in a Motherease Sandys, covered by a Dancing Bears Fleece or a Thirsties sized cover. 🙂

  12. Rebecca replied:

Honestly, the ammonia stench and resulting skin redness got so bad, that we’re putting our 2.5-year-old in an Earth’s Best disposable diaper at night, with a Large Thirsties cover over it. Previously, we tried combining prefolds with super large microfiber and hemp inserts. That works for naptime, but overnight it results in too much skin redness.

  13. Ariana L replied:

My daughter is 3 months, and about 14 pounds. Right now she wears a bumgenius elemental at night, but I can tell we are going to have to start looking at something different, so I will definitely be looking at all comments to get ideas.

  14. Rose replied:

My daughter is 8 months old and about 20 lbs. I use a BG3.0 stuffed with 2 of the bigger inserts and 1 infant insert.

  15. Trisha Durham replied:

Our nighttime solution is Blueberry Bamboo Deluxe! My little guy is 6 1/2 months old and 17lbs 12oz.

  16. Heather Petersen replied:

We use a regular goodmama under either a loveybums fleece or kiwi pie fleece cover for my 25 lb 2.5 yo. She is dry or barely wet most nights.

  17. Christy replied:

We were using Drybees fleece with a SuperDo and more in it, but Esther just gets too red overnight in cloth. We actually use 7th Gen disposables overnight to keep her dry enough.

  18. Christy replied:

oops, forgot to say Esther is 16 months, 18ish lbs?

  19. Nicole replied:

2 year old. 3feet 27lbs. BG OS pocket diaper (open to largest setting). Stuffed with an infant prefold, thirsties hemp insert, and hemp babies insert.

I also have a 7 week old 14lbs who is up often enough that we don’t need a nighttime solution yet. I do love the BG OS pocket diapers (medium setting) with an infant prefold and thirsties hemp insert.

  20. EmilyER replied:

I have two boys 13 months and 2 years, weighing about 29-32lb each. We use a Large Fuzzibunz or BumGenius 4.0 pocket stuffed with two microfiber inserts each.

  21. Ashli L replied:

5mo 12pm baby girl… I use either BG4.0 pocket or pianissimo cloth fitted with fishnoodle/starbaby cover!

  22. Meghan Floirendo replied:

We use gdiapers with the grefill (the disposable insert) for night time. We’ve tried a few other options but she just seems to sleep better in g’s. She is 9 months old and 20lbs.

  23. Gina G, replied:

19 month old who is 27 lbs- We use Bum Genius with BG microfiber inserts sandwiching a WAHM hemp insert.

  24. Stacie L replied:

We use fitteds with a wool cover most mights. Some nights we use a Charlie banana one size pocket. Addie is 10 months and about 19 lbs.

  25. Chris replied:

My son is 18 months (cry), 23 lbs and what works for us is a fitted diaper (usually a goodmama, monkey snuggles overnight, or Twinkie tush) with a hemp doubler and a fleece liner. I cover with wool – either sbish or monkey snuggles. Pretty leak proof!

  26. Wendy Speary replied:

We’re still trying to perfect our night time diaper, but what we did last night that worked and will hopefully become our routine is:
Sbish OS multi snapless with both of the bamboo inserts that it came with and a fleece liner on the top. Our son is 4 months and around 10 lbs, but a very heavy wetter.

  27. Kris replied:

My dd is 7 weeks and 12lbs. We use a Tots Bots with a Hemp insert…so far so good!

  28. Tiffany replied:

well I dont need one for my 3 month old but for my 18 month old heavy wetter I use an old stuffable Piddle Poddle, stuffed with a bigger weeds hemp trifolded and use the 2 lay in liners that come with the dipe and wrap it all in a wool soaker and *poof* its the only thing Ive found to keep her dry. It makes her have a huge booty but keeps the whole bed from being wet and her from being soaked from armpits to knees.

  29. sarah replied:

My daughter weighs 23 lbs and is 21 months old. We use a prefold, hemp insert and 2 fleece liners (the fleece goes closest to her skin) with a thirsties cover. It’s worked for us for almost a year now! She sleeps from 7pm-6am.

  30. JulieK replied:

My night time solution is either a Bum Genius double stuffed or a good bamboo fitted diaper with a wool cover.
Baby is 15 months and about 23 lbs. 🙂

  31. Erin french replied:

My 11 month old son weighs 19.5lbs and for nighttime we use baby beehinds fitteds with wonder wraps covers!

  32. Jillian replied:

My DD is 13 months old and we use a GMD fitted with either a Swaddlebees small hemp insert or a Best Bottoms large hemp insert with a Thirstie’s duo wrap. It a trim fit and she’s dry in the morning!

  33. Lindsey replied:

DD is 10 months and 20 lbs and pees like a horse at night. BG 4.0 with a microfiber and 2 hemp inserts are no longer cutting it. Past 2 nights in Seventh Generation disposable because I can’t take any more. Ordering some fitteds and wool covers today to try.

  34. tiffany g. replied:

GMD PF( trifolded) topped with a gcloth. All stuffed inside a mommy touch cover. 21month old weighing 23lbs.

Flip cover stuffed with prefold wrapped around a hemp insert topped with a Flip stay dry insert for our 23 month old son (30 lbs)

Flip cover with an XS BumGenius bamboo fitted for our 6 week old daughter (8.5 lbs)

  38. Becky knepp replied:

7 week boy, bum genius 4.0 with bg inserts (usually two)

    • Becky knepp replied:

About 9 pounds. Forgot to add.

  39. Jill replied:

26 lb 2.5 year old, we just use pockets (BG or RAR mostly)– with a regular insert plus a doubler and sometimes we try hemp/FB instead. Since she day time potty learned, she doesn’t wet as much at night! At the worst, we were using 1 reg + 2 infant inserts or 2 reg inserts!

  40. Teri G replied:

My daughter is 9 months old, 17lbs ish. We use bumgenius 3.0 and 4.0 with one regular insert and one hemp insert. That holds her from 6pm until 7am.

  41. Michele replied:

Flat with a preemie prefold inside, so simple small cover. daughter is 3 months and 12 lbs.
For my 32 month old, super under trainer pull up with back snaps with a flat inside holds her all night, she is 27lbs.

  42. Katelynne replied:

My daughter is 5 months and 16lbs. She is not a heavy wetter at night at all, but that first pee of the morning is wicked! We use a medium fuzzibunz on the next to last setting with one hemp or bamboo insert. I have the bluberry OS bamboo, Hemparoo inserts, and Hemparoo prefolds that I trifold and then stuff.

  43. Kara F. replied:

My night time solution is the Kawaii Bamboo stuffed with both inserts!! Everything else I have tried leaked….so happy I found these diapers!!!

  44. Dorsha Swartz replied:

My son is 2 and 32Ibs

I use an AIO with one insert and a Premie Indian Prefold. 90% of the time no leaks.

  45. Kat replied:

My son is 2years 10months our night time combo is a tinytush AIO with one large insert and the smaller infant insert.

We very rarely have any night time accidents with this combo, I actually tested huggies overnights once to see which held better overnight and the cloth diaper combo won the battle!

  46. Lori Page replied:

For my 20 lb 12 month old, I use either a BGOS pocket stuffed with the one-size insert and a thirsties hemp insert or a softbums omni with a bamboo pod snapped in and stuffed with 2 hemp baby doublers. Both work great and I get no leaks!

  47. Amy C replied:

    Happy Hempy, 2 inserts w/ Wool Cover or a BG OS 4.0 w/ 3 inserts 🙂 She is 10 mths, 19lbs.

  48. Melissa K replied:

I have a 21 lb 8 month old son who wears a large sbish “magic” diaper with a medium sbish wool soaker or medium wool longies over it.

  49. megan replied:

My boy is 15 months & 27 pounds.
Kawaii Overnight with a BG microfiber insert & a LG babykicks hemp. We started using cloth a couple of months ago (trying to solve nigh time issues) & haven’t had a leak yet.

  50. Julie Dameron replied:

For my 22 lb. 17-mo. I use a medium thirsties fab fitted with a Swaddlebees bamboo/cotton insert wrapped in an Econobum prefold all inside a cover, either Flip or Econobum usually.

  51. Pamela replied:

My 30-pound 2.5 year-old boy is potty trained during the day and has recently outgrown pocket diapers for night time (because they were stuffed so much the legs gapped). We switched him to Happy Heinies Pocket Trainers stuffed with a Hemp Babies Bigger Weeds prefold and a Indian cotton prefold. Perfection!!

  52. Tammy Roby replied:

My son is 14 months old, and 18.5 lbs. I use a lollidoo, Kaiwaii, bumGenius or Oh Katy at night time for my son. I just make sure that there are three inserts inside the pocket. I haven’t had any leaks. I also used this solution on my daughter until she fully potty trained at 2 1/2, worked great for her too.

  53. Erin Becker replied:

My son is 26 months old and weighs about 28 lbs, and is a moderately heavy wetter. Our night time diaper is a Bumgenius 4.0, stuffed with a trifolded premium size indian prefold (folded down in the front to fit) and a small Fuzzibunz insert tucked into the prefold. It’s bulky but it works. Our real night time solution though has been switching to Tide! I was using sposies at night for a few months because my boy was getting ammonia burns every night. I started washing the diapers in Tide a few weeks ago and tried cloth at night again, and we have NO ammonia at all even after a 12 hour night (and my diaper pail is just about stink free, even with 2-3 days worth of dirty diapers in it).

  54. Ada replied:

I have a 2yr old, 32 lb little boy. We use an XL prefold (folded down in the front) and a Thirsties Cover.

  55. Rebecca replied:

Sbish snapless with two inserts or Sbish fitted with it’s insert, RAR cover or Sbish wool cover. DD is 5 1/2 months old and about 18.6 pounds. We also use this for longer outings and never have a leak and she has gone 12+ hours sometimes during the night and no issues. Couldn’t do that with a pocket no matter how we stuffed them 🙂

  56. HollyC replied:

Little Man is 2 years 3 months, 35 lbs and wears a Flip or Thirsties cover with 2 trifolded microfiber towels and a Kawaii microfiber insert stuffed in a microfleece sock/pocket I made. It’s soaked in the AM, but no leaks =)

  57. Erin replied:

My solution is a baby who doesn’t sleep through the night. I put my six month old in a Thirsties duo cover with a sized fitted or Indian prefold with any old insert I have around for extra absorbing power.

    • Erin replied:

Oops! I think she is about 17 pounds.

  58. Adrienne replied:

We use a kissaluvs size 0 and a thirsties wrap for our 10 lb 2 month old. I tried a bumgenius last night, but she is too skinny and leaks out the leg openings still.

  59. sarah macdonald replied:

We use bum genius with the toddler insert and an extra newborn insert, works great! Averie is 17 months and 26lbs.

  60. Dallas replied:

11 month old, 22 pounds and 2 year old 28 pounds both in a BumGenius 4.0 with one regular and one infant insert. Sometimes I change the baby around 4 AM but we’re co-sleeping so that’s no big deal. Thanks for the contest!

  61. Adrian B. replied:

My son is 11.5 months old, and about 19-20lbs. At night, we use a BG 4.0 with 2 additional inserts.

  62. Laura B. replied:

We use a BG 4.0 with the large microfiber insert and a large Joey Bunz hemp insert. My daughter is 24 months old and weighs 26 lbs.

  63. Elizabeth Garrett replied:

Happy Heinys stuffed with Super Duo and BabyKicks Hemparoo Joey insert. My son is 3 1/2 yrs old and 34 pounds. Potty trained during the day.

  64. debbie m replied:

My son is 10 months and about 24 pounds. For night time, we always use a BG 3.0 AIO with a Fuzzibuns large hemp liner. Never ever have we had a leak. 🙂

  65. Jen K. replied:

My son is 14 mos., 31 lbs. (and sleeps on his tummy). We use a fitted (SBish Large or Twinkie Tush) with an Artsy Fartsy Foo Foo hemp insert laid in it, topped with a wool cover (SBish or Wild Child Woolies).

  66. Catherine Brown replied:

My son is 22 months old and around 27 lbs. The only way That I have figured out to make it through the night is an econobum prefold, then a bg newborn insert/doubler, then a hemp babies doubler. It must be in that order from top to bottom. I put all that in a flip cover. It has to be a cover with flaps at the waist, front and back, or else the large amount of stuffing will cause gapping and then wicking onto the fitted bedtime clothes.

  67. Sabrina Radke replied:

15 month old 23 pound baby boy and we use a Nifty Nappy heavy doody fitted with an extra Thirsties hemp insert added under a wool cover, thanks!

  68. Jessica Rabbitt replied:

I have a 15 month old who weighs about 23lbs. We use a large Ragababe AIO with a large insert or a size 2 Ragababe two step with two large inserts. An awesome solution! We have also used s-bish fitteds with a bummis cover.

  69. Mel replied:

I have an 8 month old, 23 pound baby boy…and he wears bumgenius 4.0 at night with the microfiber insert and a blueberry bamboo doubler stuffed inside! It works perfectly!

  70. Vashti McMurray replied:

My son is 11.5 months and 21 lbs. He wears a Bummis Baby size prefold wrapped around a Jamtots hemp trifolded insert topped with a fleece topped hemp doubler. My nighttime cover is an Organic Caboose double wool cover. Bulletbroof!!!

    Thanks!

  71. Ashley M replied:

My 20 pound 9 month old stays leak-free with a Snappi’ed GMD prefold, a HempBabies or Joeybunz doubler, and an Imse Vimse or Disana wool cover. Pocket-wise, we have had the best luck with an Aplix BumGenius stuffed with the standard insert plus a Joeybunz and a Hempbabies doubler.

  72. Sheila, Mom to Seven (in Sept.) replied:

I use Kissaluvs Hybrid One-Size Contour Diaper with a Thirsties cover on my 18-month-old, 21 lb. daughter. She’s a heavy wetter, never had a leak, but the smell is getting bad. I can solve it with the dipe, but how do you get the smell out of the covers? Same way?
    LOVE Planet Wise wet bags!

  73. Andrea replied:

My 8 month old weighs about 15 lbs. We just use a bumgenius one size with the normal insert and a doubler and it lasts through the night.

  74. Jenn replied:

Applecheeks cover w/2 babykicks joeybunz has worked great on our 28 lb 2 yr old lately!

  75. Marie replied:

We put a Kawaii OS Heavy Duty Diaper with 2 inserts on my daughter at night (33 months old) and it stays dry almost every night. Our daughter has special needs so sometimes she pees and sometimes she floods her diaper and the Kawaii’s hold the pee in well! She’s 33 months old and 27 pounds.

  76. Melissa Wagner replied:

We use a pocket aio such as the old bg or swaddlebees with a RagaBabe insert and Wahm-made hemp doubler by HappyHempz. I put a fleece liner on top even though the top is stay-dry and it works wonderfully!

    • Melissa Wagner replied:

Baby boy 7 months 17 lbs. We use a pocket aio either an old BG or Swaddlebees stuffed with a RagaBabe insert and HappyHempz doubler and fleece on top. Works wonderfully!

  77. Aubrea replied:

Thirsties duo fitted stuffed with a joey bunz hemp insert and a Flip cover is my current fave combo for our 9 month old. She is probably close to 20 lbs…haven’t weighed her in a while.

  78. Alisha S replied:

I have a 18 month/ 26lb. son. We used a Drybees Fleece with a superdo or a Happy Hempys stuffed with superdo covered with Dancing Bears Fleece. I’ll be honest though. We cloth diapered overnight until around 13 months but struggled with the ammonia smell. I tried without avail to find a solution so we switched over to disposable overnight:(

  79. samantha braunscheidel replied:

I use two hemp inserts and microfiber in a pocket, usually bg or fb

  80. samantha braunscheidel replied:

That’s for my 8 month old 20 lbs daughter

  81. Vanessa replied:

For my 2.5 year old who weighs 30ish lbs, we use a prefold with a microfiber insert inside with a flip or thirsties cover or a bum genius stuffed with a prefold or a microfiber insert. He’s never leaked.

  82. Homier Than Thou replied:

My 8-month-old is a chunky 27 pounds! I’ve had a hard time finding a good night-time solution because he is just too big for most regular diapers, let alone double-stuffed! So I was really surprised to find that Tots Bots stuffed with an additional insert (I use a Best Bottom hemp) works the best! Our second-best option is a homemade fitted with a homemade wool cover.

  83. Vered M replied:

My son is 2 years 3 months old, and is on the verge of being fully potty trained – I still put him in a diaper at night but he has been waking up dry this past week.
Anyways, up till now, for the past year or so, he slept in a good quality fitted (sbish, bugga bugga boutique, goodmama, etc) with a wool cover – either longies or a soaker. Almost no leaks – sometimes when he tummy sleeps and pees in the morning, the front of the soaker/longies does get wet (even though not all the diaper is wet) – I think it’s called compression leaking. But most of the time it works.
    He’s a big boy, weighs 36 lbs.

  84. Cindee replied:

My son is 7mths old and 20lbs. I use either a sustainablebabyish fitted with a thirsties duo wrap or a happy hempys fleece stuffed with a joey bunz hemp insert and small bum genius insert with a thirsties duo wrap. Neither have ever leaked!

  85. L. replied:

My son is 10 1/2 months old and pushing 25 pounds; our new night-time solution is a sustainable babyish organic bamboo fleece fitted with a knickernappies stay dry fleece liner, followed up with a joeybunz premium hemp insert on the outside, all wrapped up in a bummis super brite large cover. I’ve been using this combo for more than a week now and I love it–plus Sammy has a lot of room to grow in it, too!

  86. Susan M. replied:

    7month old daughter, about 16lbs…
I use a pocket (preferably Blueberry minky diapers!) stuffed with a microfiber insert and a Flip Organic insert trifolded! Works great! I have also done the trifolded Thirsties Hemp prefold, and the Blueberry bamboo insert

  87. Sarah J replied:

5 month old (15 lbs) has several options: babykicks fitted with insert and an extra hemp insert, nifty nappy fitted with nn insert and an extra hemp insert or a prefold with 2 extra hemp inserts; covers: imse vimse soft, thirsties duo wrap, blueberry or nifty nappy woolie wrap
2.5 year old (31 lbs) also has several options: mother-ease fitted with softbums bamboo pod and babykicks/ joey bunz (2 regular or 1 premium), nifty nappy with 2 nn inserts and a regular joey bunz, flip organic cotton prefold/ regular cotton prefold with joey bunz (2 regular or 1 premium); covers: thirsties duo wrap, fleece soaker/ longies or and applecheeks shell with stretched leg elastic

  88. Tara E replied:

I HAD been using a OS pocket diaper (either Fuzzibunz or AMP Diapers) stuffed w/a trifold hemp and a OS microfibre insert… which worked great! Except my little guy would always wake up w/a sore blistering bum. (even after stripping diapers) 😦

So we’re using a disposable for night now b/c i don’t know what else to do!

    He’s 13 months, 20-ish lbs.

  89. Ariel replied:

I use RagaBabe AIOs for my 10 lb 2 week old:)

  90. Nikki replied:

My daughter is 19 months and around 20 pounds. We use the Happy Hemp with a micro fiber and hemp insert, covered with a Thirsties Duo Wrap — per your suggestions and it works really well for us 🙂 ngiraldi at gmail dot com

  91. Kimberlie replied:

My son is 12 months and 21 lbs. We get the best results using a prefold and EconoBum cover. Seriously! He sleeps on his side or stomach and needs a prefold for fast absorption.

  92. Nicole replied:

Bumgenius 3.0 at night. Baby is 7 months, 16lbs:)

  93. Mama Chocolate (Johanna C.) replied:

    I have a 2 year old (25lbs) and a 6 month old (15lbs) in diapers.
I use Thirsties covers and prefolds. For the two-year-old, I usually layer two or three prefolds and then add a fleece cover over all of it, since she’s a super soaker!

  94. Sara G. replied:

My son is almost 6 mos. (Friday!)and probably about 20 lbs. and we use bumgenius 3.0 small pocket diapers. He probably needs to move up to medium but we only have one since they went out of stock.

PLEASE PICK ME!! A few weeks ago my husband left one of our wet/dry planet wise medium bags at a restaurant when changing my son. We were on a road trip so there was no going back. I was mostly bummed about losing the bag (there were only about three prefolds in it).

  95. Rachel S. replied:

Our little dude is just over 20 lbs and 1 year. These days we stuff a Happy Hempy with two of the smaller-size inserts that come with our OS Fuzzibunz (and which we never use otherwise), and wrap it up in a Thirsties duo wrap. It’s never failed us! 🙂

  96. Danielle J replied:

My 19 month 24lb DD wears a FBOS with a Super Doopsy insert! It weighs a ton in the morning but NO leaks!

Love reading all these great ideas 🙂

  97. Aubrey G replied:

My DS is 23 months and we used use a BG 4.0 with 2 joey bunz hemp inserts and a BG microfiber newborn doubler, but we kept having problems with super stink pee and ammonia so now we use pampers at night. I wish we had him in cloth round the clock but I couldn’t deal with the stink, the burn, and the leaks (heavy wetter). Even his disposable is really stinky when we take it off in the morning. I think he is starting to PT so that may cause me to try him back in cloth at night but right now I really have no issue using 1 disposable per day if it means I don’t have to stress and fret over diaper laundry.

  98. Jeni replied:

My 9 month old son is 17lbs. At night we use a BG 3.0 stuffed with a Flip Staydry insert and a Joey Bunz Hemp insert. In a pinch, we’ll use the microfiber insert that came with the BG and the hemp, but he wakes up a little red.

  99. Melanie replied:

We had our first night in cloth last night and it was successful. A medium fuzzibunz with a microfiber insert and a joey bunz hemp insert behind it. My son is 9 months and about 20lbs.

  100. Tami replied:

My son is 29 months and weighs around 28 pounds. We use a prefold with the Kissaluvs cover and a thirstys doubler. The prefolds rarely leak over night for us though!!!

  101. Christine McDaniel replied:

Tiny Tush Trim 4.0 with stay dry doubler covered in a fleece soaker (usually Cottontail Babies). 15 months, 24 lbs and 3 years, 32 lbs.

  102. Jessica Foster replied:

We use Mother-ease Sandy’s and Air Flow cover both in size large. My daughter is 19months and 27lbs. This is the only combo we have been able to use for nighttime with no leaks!

  103. K-Meeker replied:

i have a one year old girl who weighs just under 19 pounds.. not a particularly heavy wetter but she sleeps longest in a goodmama fitted and either a rumparooz or flip cover. i also have found that using rumparooz G2 or a swaddlebees work great – they’re strictly our nighttime diapers b/c the inserts are so absorbant! 🙂

  104. Sarah R replied:

My son is 3 weeks old and 10lbs. We use GMD prefolds in various covers. Not sure what our nighttime solution will be yet 🙂

  105. Rachel Grimsby replied:

My little bundle of joy has not arrived yet, but I am looking forward to cloth diapers. I have a strategic plan for the day and am hoping that at least for the first few weeks the Thirsties Hemp prefolds with a cover will be absorbent enough for his little hiney 🙂
I have heard a lot about wool for nighttime so when my little man is older I may try the wool fitted with a wool cover.

  106. Samantha Cuhel replied:

We use a Thirsties size 2 Duo Hemp Prefold with a fleece or PUL cover. My baby’s 4 month’s old, and weighs 16 pounds, and he wakes up to a still partially dry diaper since we switched to these!

  107. Stephanie replied:

Right now we are using BG 4.0’s with the newborn insert & a trifolded Hemp Babies Little Weeds flat. It is working pretty well for my 8 week old, 13 lb. son.

  108. BrassyDel replied:

Baby 1: 23 months, 22 pounds, bumGenius or FuzziBunz OS stuffed with 3 babykicks Medium hemp inserts.

Baby 2: 7 weeks, somewhere around 8 or 9 pounds now, Thirsties Duo Diaper with the hemp + microfiber insert they are packaged with (Size 1, of course).

Fun note: if Thirsties had made their Duo Diaper with SNAPS (instead of just offering the covers with snaps) I would have bought those for Baby 2 instead of her FuzziBunz OS. She’s very small and Thirsties has the best fit for her build. But I’m sick of velcro. No laundry tabs are 100% effective, and sometimes the velcro rubs baby tummies and causes chafing, too. It’s convenient during the diaper change, but I hate them at every other moment.

  109. Colleen Maurina replied:

For nighttime we use Bumgenius 4.0 with it’s regular insert plus we throw in either another BumGenius insert or a Fuzzibunz insert. He is 15 months and 25 pounds.

  110. Misty Brammer replied:

We love the Sustainablebabish fitteds and wool covers for night time. She is 17lbs and 11 1/2 months old. Size large fitteds and Medium covers and longies. They are so soft and comfy and really hold a lot of pee.

  111. Michelle replied:

For my 26 month and 7 month old we use a pocket like bum-genius or blueberry stuffed with a loopy do and an extra hemp doubler and cover it all with wool shorties.

  112. Ali Baker replied:

24 mth, 32 lb. boy, we use a blueberry pocket onesize stuffed with the bamboo insert & doubler.

My daughter is 6 months old and about 15-1 6 lbs. We use a Grovia AI2 with their insert. I can get away with just that but lately I’ve been adding a Grovia booster as well and that works even better.

  118. Megan M. replied:

We’re currently using a sposie. *hangs head in shame* I am still searching for the perfect combination so I’ll definitely be looking through these comments to see what others are doing! My son is 16 months old and 27 pounds.

  119. KSBR replied:

A BG 3.0 one-size stuffed with both microfibers the diaper came with plus a small and large Thirsties hemp. And yes, we are going to switch to fitteds with a cover soon because this system won’t hold up much longer. 🙂

  120. KSBR replied:

Oh, and my son is 13 months and about 20 lbs. Forgot to add that in my comment above.

  121. Serena replied:

My DS is 3 1/2, 36 lbs., and still sleeps about 12 hrs. at night, so he pees a lot. We use a BG 4.0 or HH OS with 1 hemp and 2 MF inserts.

  122. April Walraven replied:

My son is 7.5 months old, and I think about 19 pounds. He wears a kawaii bamboo minky pocket stuffed with 1 of the bamboo inserts, and a thirsties hemp insert. Lasts all night (10-11 hours), and he nurses 3 times! 🙂

  123. Heather replied:

6 months, 16 pounds. BumGenius 4.0 with a the two inserts it came with 🙂

My 15-month old, 24 pound son wears either a BG one-size pocket or a Happy Heinys one-size pocket. I stuff it with a large microfiber insert closest to him, followed by a hemp insert, a small microfiber insert, and a cotton insert.

  127. cheri replied:

DD is out of diapers now, but our nighttime solution was a BV fitted (many makers, usually WAHM) with a bamboo/hemp flat folded into an insert, with a wool or fleece cover. Bomb proof!

  128. Katy replied:

My DD is 8mths and 19lbs. We use 2 trifolded prefolds and a cover (right now Bummis or os Wonderwrap cause that is what I have that fit her).

  129. Martha Duffield replied:

My DS is 20 months and 24 pounds. He goes through major stages of heavy wetting. Sometimes I still have to change him in the middle of the night.

We use a TT hemp fitted with its infant doubler and a microterry insert (to help with any speed of absorption) and then a homemade suedecloth liner. Then we use wool longies. We just bought our first pair of s-bish longies, so I can’t wait to try those out!

  130. Lisa A replied:

I have a 10 mos old little girl, who wears a BG 3.0 or 4.0 OS pocket stuffed with the micro inserts, a Babykicks hemp insert and inside the diapey a fleece liner.
My 2.5 year. old wears a Tiny Tush Elite OS pocket with the micro inserts, a Babykicks hemp insert and a fleece liner on the inside!
So far so good! (Hope I don’t jinx myself!) 🙂

  131. merritt replied:

DS is 17 mos, about 24lbs. We’ve been using a BG stuffed with both inserts and a hemp on bottom. Talk about a fluffy bum!

  132. Kayla replied:

My daughter is 19 months and 21 lbs. We use a BG 3.0 stuffed with a BG OS insert, KN super-do insert, and a small FB OS insert. Works great!

  133. Ann replied:

10 weeks, almost 12 lbs little girl, who must be a super soaker. Right now, I’m using either a small Fuzzibunz with the regular insert plus the newborn BumGenius insert or the BumGenius 4.0 stuffed with both inserts. She’s still getting up at night, so this generally gets me through 6-8 hours. So we use two each night.
I’ll have to find another solution soon though because those microfibers are drenched. Will add JoeyBunz hemp inserts once she can fit in the medium size diaper. We’ve got the medium sized inserts and they seem to be a bit too large for her and cause some wicking.

  134. Meg s replied:

My son is 4.5 months old and about 15 pounds. For overnight we use either fuzzi buns or bumgenius OS with 2 of the insert which came with the diapers. Work well for us.

  137. Linda replied:

My baby is still in my tummy, but he or she should arrive in the next few days. 🙂 Anyhow, the nighttime solution I hope to be using is prefolds and a prowrap.

  138. Jennifer L replied:

Our 16 month old has used sustainablebabyish OBF and knit wool covers since she was 8 months old. No leaks, perfect solution for us!

  139. Monica F replied:

6 month old boy, 23 lb.

We used to use a BG with the large microfiber insert, a Hemp Babies, and a Thirsties hemp/cotton blend insert. It worked okay if it wasn’t a night that he nursed a lot and laid on his side/ belly all night 😉

With Stephanie’s help, we switched to a Sustainablebabyish fitted (large) and a Disana wool cover. After 2 lanolizing sessions, I think we are back in business of waking up dry!

  147. Jessica R replied:

22lb 1yo, we use BG 4.0s stufed with a flip organic and a BG doubler. The flip organics are amazingly absorbent and trim and really do not hang on to odor. The BGs keep her sensitive skin very dry and are generous enough to handle lots of stuffing without leaking at legs. This is a great thread!

I have a heavy wetting toddler, age 30 months, 31 lbs. Our leak proof nighttime combo is a medium Drybees fleece nighttime pocket diaper with 2 medium babykicks hemp inserts and a cotton babies hemp doubler sandwiched between the two. OR…a large RagaBabe AIO, stuffed with a large RagaBabe insert. Both have never failed us, but then again I don’t have a fast wetter, just a heavy wetter. If I had a fast wetter I’d make sure to lay a RagaBabe cotton/bamboo doubler or liner on top next to babies skin.
Hoping to get that wet bag!! Thanx for these awesome giveaways Abby’s Lane!

DD is 3 and she is only in diapers at night! We have found that a greenchild fitted with a caboose wool cover (only wool cover I have) works best. Unfortunately I can’t use it every night so we also have a couple of pockets that still fit her that we use. My favorite out of all of them is a Forward Thinking fleece pocket diaper w/ a hemp insert (at least I think it’s hemp…maybe bamboo).

    25 months, 23 pounds, skinny boy –
dryness-wise, a bg 4.0 double stuffed with the mf inserts works, sometimes I add a hemp insert. But, as another poster mentioned, ammonia gets the better of us for night time, and leaves redness, and leads to rashes. We’ve tried various solutions to avoid this, some work for a while, then have to start over again. Currently using nature baby care disposable diapers until I can get the ammonia out.

  177. betsy replied:

We use a Earth Mom and Baby Bumboo diaper with insert and fleece liner or a Happy Hempy stuffed with a loopy-do insert and hemp insert. This will last us 12 hours, though if he wakes up to eat after 7 or 8 hours, I’ll change him into an organic flip with hemp insert. He is 26 pounds, 17 months.

  178. Nikki replied:

I’m embarrased to admit that my 2 year old (who weighs about 25 lbs) wears a ‘sposie to bed. We got into the habit when she was tiny and her wet prefold would wake her up – and I’ve never managed to convince my hubby to try cloth at night again. Baby #2 is due any day now and I’ve put him on notice that we will be using cloth 24 hours a day with this baby!
